ibis Southampton

The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the hotel was very clean. We were staying in Southampton for the England Open Pickleball Tournament and so were out all day but glad to return to a safe, clean hotel for the night. We stayed for 6 nights and were in a twin room on the third floor that overlooked the docks. It was a great delight to open the curtains in the morning and discover that yet another giant cruise ship had arrived silently in the night! The parking in front of the hotel was much appreciated even though it had to be paid for and we were given a discounted rate for staying longer.

The layout of the room was lovely with a nice view of the.port and I liked the bench seat near the window where I could sit and enjoy it. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The room was very clean. There was a restaurant with fast service and good but basic food. The staff were very friendly. For the price, this hotel was excellent value for money.

Everything went way better than expectation apart from having to park in an illegal parking space. The room is clean and breakfast is excellent compared to the price I paid. Will stay here again next time. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay welcome.

The reception staff were very helpful especially when a taxi that they had ordered for us did n’t turn up. We were evicted from our cruise ship at 7:30 am but were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and actually check in thus allowing us to enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing. The restaurant menu was rather limited but we enjoyed our dinner and the breakfast was excellent.

All of the front facing staff especially the reception staff were really efficient, helpful and friendly. The location was ideal for the high street and the theatre. The room was comfortable and we were impressed with the daily change of towels.
